The European Commission unveils a first report on Wednesday on respect for the rule of law in the 27 countries of the EU, which pinned Hungary, in a context of strong tensions with Budapest.
This first report covers four areas: the efficiency and independence of the judiciary, the fight against corruption, media pluralism and freedom of the press, the balance of powers and the role of civil society.
