The EU proposes to no longer tolerate Viktor Orban

Thus, the head of the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry proposes to “get rid” of Orban and solve problems with the laws and authorities of the country.
Luxembourg came up with an initiative to hold a referendum on Hungary’s further EU membership. Such a proposal was voiced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn in a commentary to the German edition The mirror.
“There should be a referendum in the EU on whether you want to tolerate Orban in the EU. I am convinced that the result will be – definitely not,” Asselborn said.
EU-wide referendums do not yet exist, but, according to Asselborn, one should think about their implementation.
“Then the endless debate about the numerous EU processes against the Hungarian government – including the Article 7 procedure to deprive them of their voting rights in the EU – would have ended in one fell swoop,” the minister added.
Previously Hungarian authorities initiated a referendum on child protection against the backdrop of demands from the European Union to amend the recent amendments to the laws on education and child protection related to the ban on LGBT topics.
Orban became the first “enemy of press freedom” in the EU
