Hungary First to Approve Chinese Corona Vaccine | Abroad

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said Friday morning that he could make a deal with China on Friday or Saturday to stock up on the vaccine. Orbán wanted to wait and see how the vaccination in Serbia would go, a major vaccination campaign was recently started with the drug of Sinopharm.

Hungary could have vaccinated 1.7 million people by March using the Chinese drug. The prime minister said he would prefer to be vaccinated with the Sinopharm vaccine, which he believes is the most reliable. The eastern European country has already vaccinated 1.9% of the population, while the Netherlands has 1.2%.
