Hungary issued a decree banning arms supplies to Ukraine through its territory. About it today informed country’s prime minister Victor Orban after the meeting of the Department of National Security.

“It is the 12th day of the war. We have assessed the situation. A decree has been issued, which clearly states that weapons cannot be transported from the territory of Hungary to the territory of Ukraine,” he said.
Orban also said that the hostilities “are getting closer and closer to the Hungarian border.” This means that the number of refugees will increase: “We must be prepared to provide for more people.”
- Earlier, Orban said that it was extremely important for Hungary to stay out of Russia’s war in Ukraine: “We reaffirmed Hungary’s decision not to send troops or weapons to Ukraine. We also reaffirmed that Hungary will not allow the transit of weapons to Ukraine.”
