After the rain on Friday afternoon, the Formula 1s were again able to race on a dry track for the third free session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Mercedes resumed their parade with a relentless double. Valtteri Bottas was fastest by turning in 1: 15.437. The winner of the first Grand Prix of the season outperformed teammate Lewis Hamilton for 47 thousandths of a second. Even if the main interested parties believe that the qualifications should be more contested, we can expect a demonstration of the W11 this afternoon.
The Ferraris are progressing from the Red Bull Ring nightmare. Charles Leclerc signed the fourth lap, three tenths from Bottas. The Monegasque is surrounded by the Racing Points of Sergio Pérez and Lance Stroll. Overtaken by Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Lando Norris (McLaren), Sebastian Vettel is eighth. The Top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri) and Daniel Ricciardo (Renault). Qualifications will start at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
