Hungarian F1 Grand Prix 2032: Northerner Triumphs, Contract Extension, and Record-Breaking Attendance

The northerner won the second sprint of the season after the triumph in Melbourne and is sixth in the overall classification. Denmark’s Frederik Vesti leads the ranking by a single point ahead of Thé Pourchair from France (135:134), Staněk is seventeenth with 11 points. On Sunday, the main race is on the agenda, in which the pilot of the Trident team will once again start from the end of the grid.

The Hungarian F1 Grand Prix will run until 2032.

The Hungarian Grand Prix will be part of the Formula 1 World Championship calendar until at least 2032. The management of the series today announced a five-year extension of the contract with the Hungarian organizers, which was supposed to be valid until 2027.

The agreement on the new contract was significantly helped by the fact that the Hungarian side promised to renovate the Hungaroring, including a new depot building and the main grandstand. The F1 World Championship has been held on the circuit, which is about 20 km from Budapest, since 1986, and the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton from Britain scored a record eight victories there.

Organizers expect more than 300,000 fans at the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend, surpassing last year’s figure of 290,000.
