According to their own statements, the police conducted an investigation between 12pm and 8pm – with the following results: The police found a total of 87 administrative offences, 70 of which were speeding violations and another six were involved in suspension driving. In 318 cases, the police issued warnings – here too, mostly (294) because of excessive speed.
According to the police, two vehicles also had to be impounded to prepare reports. The officers also reported six cases to the road traffic office to determine whether the drivers were fit “to drive motor vehicles”. Police filed criminal charges in three cases. According to the Düsseldorf police, there will be further investigations in the future.
