Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Elon Musk’s governing style. A few days ago, Twitter even carried out large-scale layoffs and Elon Musk told employees to “come and stay” via email. However, in recent days, Elon Musk’s tough governance style has caused dissatisfaction among many “remaining” Twitter employees, triggering a wave of resignations.
According to media outlet The Verge, Elon Musk issued an ultimatum to hundreds of monitoring employees a few days ago, asking employees to pledge to use “Hardcore Twitter 2.0” before 2 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday or else they’ll resign. This harsh approach caused dissatisfaction among many Twitter employees: after the deadline, hundreds of employees began posting goodbye messages on Twitter’s Slack, announcing their refusal to stay on Twitter.
However, according to people familiar with the matter, Elon Musk recently held an emergency video conference with key Twitter team employees, but some employees made up their minds and left in the middle of the meeting.
