Among the biggest sales of the day, two exceptional ships: the Julius Caesar , of the Märklin brand, dating from 1910. This large live steam squadron battleship, with two funnels, two masts, one propeller, four launches, 86 cm in length, was estimated at a price ranging from 25,000 to €30,000. It was finally sold for €39,000.
His “cousin”, the Indiana , also, of the Märklin brand, a mechanical warship with spur, two chimneys, two masts, a propeller and thirteen guns, painted in green and red with a redone rear platform and old launches, undated, and measuring 76 cm , had an estimate that ranged from 20,000 to 25,000 €. Bids climbed to €16,500 .
