Hundreds of retired soldiers ask Guaidó not to request international monetary aid without ceasing the usurpation

Nine organizations of hundreds of retired military personnel from the various components of the Armed Forces recommend that Juan Guaidó “not accept agreements or pacts of any kind and demand that the usurpation hand over control of the country“They said in a statement, after analyzing what happens in Venezuela in the face of the crisis that Covid-19 has created in the world.

The organizations that make the request are: for the Military Institutional Front (FIM), Vice Admiral Rafael Huizi Clavier; for the Pichincha Group, Brigadier General (Ej) Juan Antonio Herrera Betancourt; by the Fundación 10 de Diciembre, GD (Av) Maximiliano Hernández Vásquez; by the Venezuelan Military Forum (FMV), Division General (GN) Enrique Prieto Silva; by the Military Alliance for Venezuela, Division General (Ex) Rafael Montero Revette; by Military Analysis, Vice Admiral Carlos Ramos Flores; by the Orión Foundation, Against Admiral Elías Buchszer Cabriles; by the FAN Reinstitutionalization Commission, Vice Admiral Jesús Enrique Briceño García; and by Popular Defenders of the New Republic, Colonel (GN) Hidalgo Valero Briceño.

Officials tell Guaidó that their request is sustained “so that under the direction, control and supervision of their government, qualified international organizations receive the funds and monetary aid that we can obtain from the International Monetary Fund, the World Organization of the Health, the European Union, the Organization of American States, the more than 50 countries that recognize you and those that we can recover from the vandalism to which the national treasury was subjected, so that we dedicate them to combat the ills caused by COVID-19 and recover the immense structural damage suffered by the industrial and agricultural productive apparatus, thanks to this virus, but mostly due to the administrative plunder handled by the usurpers ”.

– –

They argue that Venezuela is not exempt from the ills that appear in the globalized world we inhabit, and that in the face of the dangerous COVID-19 virus, but that our country “presents special characteristics as a consequence of the usurpation of the public powers by the worst of regimes that a country can suffer, the same one that has left without water a high percentage of the population and that has substantially deteriorated the health and health services ”, for which diseases that had been eradicated such as malaria, yellow fever have returned , tuberculosis, foot-and-mouth disease and other endemic diseases.

“Ours being a leading country in oil reserves, this usurpation has the people cooking with firewood for lack of gas, without electricity since it has misappropriated the funds earmarked for maintenance and the necessary increase in electrical energy”, the retired military stand out.

– –

They include the destruction of the Amuay and Cardón refineries. “After having been one of the largest oil producers in the world, there is no gasoline or fuel for private and cargo vehicles to circulate on some roads and streets, close to their disappearance due to lack of maintenance.”

– –

“So serious is the lack of fuel for vehicles that agricultural producers, who have been fortunate enough not to expropriate their land, give away their products locally because they have no way of transporting them to consumption centers. and they stop investing for new crops that would only cause losses. The lands that were productive but expropriated today are wastelands without production of any kind. ”

– –

They wonder, “How can the country respond to the crisis caused by this pandemic, if several years ago a considerable part of the population most in need, to be able to eat, rummage through the rubbish and garbage cans in search of food for themselves and their families?

– –

“The lack of gasoline has already begun to make it impossible to reach the consumption centers of the products of the daily basic diet that come from the agricultural sector of the economy, which is why a total lack of food for all sectors of society, which could create widespread famine across the country. ”

– –

How to treat the virus if “for several years now there have been no medicines in pharmacies, the ones that are arriving are beyond the reach of most Venezuelans, because the 6 or 7 days needed to treat any illness, have costs that long exceed 2 or 3 months of the monthly minimum wage decreed by this disastrous regime “.

– –

“The best local policies, medical and hospital insurance, are not enough to receive first aid in emergencies from clinics and health centers; public centers lack the means and medicines to provide such care, and there are indications of cases that, being opponents of the usurpation, they are rejected when they require care and attention, even when caused to death. ”

– –

That is why they consider “impudence and cynicism to pretend that international organizations grant funds so that the usurpers, now required by the justice of another country due to their alleged participation in criminal and punishable acts, continue to do what they have best known how to do in the last 20 years of disgrace in our country, increasing their personal funds and increasing the more than 300,000 million US $, which according to publications of some international control centers, are in the possession of those who have managed the country’s public finances in that period”.

– –

Finally they say that “unfortunately, all this chaos has been sustained and defended by a corrupt and politicized military leadership, as evidenced by the speeches and declarations, clearly aligned with the entrenched political party, of which they serve as minister, operational commander of the fanb and other high-ranking officers of the military ranks ”.
