The group gathered at the Grote Markt at 1 pm and started a protest march through the center from there. According to a reporter on site, there may be a thousand people on their feet who, among other things, oppose the corona pass.

‘Celebrate freedom, not a dictatorship!’
One of the activists encourages the crowd with the words ‘Groningen, what do we want? Freedom!’. They also shout ‘Celebrate freedom, no dictatorship!’.
—
On protest signs that people carry with them are texts such as ‘QR code = discrimination’, ‘Children are our future. Not our guinea pigs!’ and ‘2G? New!’.

Traffic disrupted
It is not clear how long the demonstration will last. Bus company Qbuzz will no longer drive buses on the Grote Markt until further notice. In the middle of the afternoon, the demonstrators walked on Stationsweg, in front of the main station. This caused delays for other road users.
