Hundreds of volunteer groups claiming to be volunteers Jokowi declared their support for Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election. They came to enliven the Basket Hall Senayan to convey their support for Ganjar tonight.
The chief executive of the declaration event, Teddy Wibisana, claimed that as many as 7,000 volunteers from 140 groups of volunteers will participate in the declaration that will be carried out. He also confirmed that Ganjar was scheduled to be present to meet the volunteers.
“We are in stages in this event, apart from the crowd we want to create, it is also about entertaining events for friends, and also being able to interact directly with Mas Ganjar,” said Teddy.
The event, said Teddy, was to give definite answers to Jokowi support volunteers. According to him, so far there are still differences in direction regarding choices in the 2024 political contest.
“We emphasize here that Jokowi’s volunteers support Ganjar,” he said.
He also alluded to the characteristics that Jokowi had conveyed regarding the presidential candidate he supports. Teddy stated that the characteristics conveyed by Jokowi were in the figure of Ganjar.
“So the symbols given by Mr. Jokowi to who will be his successor are actually clear. But we are determined that we will declare our support for Ganjar Pranowo,” he added.
“That’s why the theme of this event is ‘Jokowi Volunteers Support Ganjar Pranowo’,” he concluded.
Teddy said that there was no coercion against the volunteers who gathered tonight. He stated that the volunteers joined voluntarily to support Ganjar Pranowo.
“So there are no attempts to force or anything, but they really want us to support Ganjar Pranowo together,” he said.
Teddy further confirmed that there was a split in the votes between Jokowi’s volunteers. However, he did not see this as a threat, because according to him, those with different choices were not in the majority.
“Because we are volunteers, it’s up to us, but if we look at the population we collected today and also elsewhere in the region, we are optimistic that Jokowi’s volunteers will support Ganjar Pranowo,” he said confidently.
“If people say that 90 percent of Jokowi’s volunteers support Prabowo, we don’t think it’s true, in fact 95 percent of Jokowi’s volunteers support Ganjar,” he concluded.
