The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about the third batch of American lethal weapons. The United States has promised continued support.

The third American aircraft carrying lethal weapons from a $200 million aid package arrived at Boryspil Airport. In particular, Ukraine received 300 Javelins. About this on the evening of Monday, January 25, informs press service of the General Staff of the APU.

“This assistance, which includes about 200,000 pounds of lethal weapons, including ammunition for Ukraine’s defenders on the front lines, demonstrates the strong commitment of the United States to Ukraine’s sovereign right to self-defense,” the statement said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also recalled that US President Joe Biden told Russian President Vladimir Putin that in the event of further Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States would provide Kiev with much more defense equipment in addition to the one already provided.

The message also cited Chargé d’Affaires Chargé d’Affaires Christina Quinn, who stressed that the United States, allies and partners are on the side of Ukraine and are working together to expedite the provision of security assistance to Ukraine.

Queen also quoted Biden about the consequences if Russia continues aggression against Ukraine: “If any Russian troops cross the Ukrainian border, then this will be an invasion, followed by an early, tough and united reaction. It will be a reaction of both the United States and our allies.”

She also noted that the Ukrainian military is disciplined, well-supplied and trained.

“I want to emphasize that Russian soldiers who go to Ukraine on the orders of the Kremlin will face fierce resistance, and Russia will suffer significant losses. If President Putin takes this reckless step, then we will provide more technical assistance to Ukraine than we have already provided,” – said Christina Quinn.

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. noted that preference is given to diplomacy, in which communication with partners in NATO and Ukraine takes place. Also, she stated that such deliveries will continue in the future.

In addition, she said that Ukraine has received more U.S. defense support this year than in any previous year since 2014. According to her, more than $650 million worth of security equipment was provided in 2022, and since 2014 provided by more than $2.7 billion.

Recall that today Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced the fourth batch of aid from the USA.

Previously USA approved the transfer to Ukraine by the authorities of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia of American-made weapons – Javelin and Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems.
