Hundreds of brand new or little used BMW i3s have been left in exile on a Korean island, a video from the UNTOUCHABLE channel on YouTube shows. Electric cars are owned by a local car rental company that went bankrupt in 2020. When this happened, most of all 200 cars ordered were left at various points on the island, where they remain to this day.
Some of the BMWs are in good condition, but most of them have missing panels or other parts. As you can see in the video, doors, trunks and hoods are missing in some cars, while others are only dirty and abandoned.
Last year, the Korean representative office of BMW received permission to buy cars, but most of them were not moved from their places for unknown reasons.
