Hundreds of dead Caspian seals found in Russia

(dpa) Hundreds of dead seals have washed ashore in the Caspian Sea in the Russian republic of Dagestan in the North Caucasus. Russian authorities reported the discovery of 650-700 animal carcasses in the capital Makhachkala on Saturday and released videos of them. The cause of death of the protected animals was initially unclear. The investigations would be ongoing.
