Chairman of the DKI DPRD Jakarta Prasetio Edi Marsudi questioned the reasons behind the unavailability of hundreds of Governor’s men Anies Baswedan following an open selection for high-ranking Pratama or Echelon II positions. Prasetio highlighted the existence of problems in the bureaucracy and regeneration pattern within the DKI Provincial Government.
“If this happens it is strange. It means that there is something wrong with the bureaucracy and regeneration that runs in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. How come there are hundreds of people who don’t want to take office, what’s wrong?” Prasetio said in a written statement, Tuesday (11/5/2021).
The PDIP politician assessed that currently the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government really needs echelon II officials with definitive status to move the public service machine in the capital city. The reason is, until now there are dozens of empty regional work units (SKPD) which are only held by the task force (Plt).
Prasetio gave an example of the positions of Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Office, to the Mayor of South Jakarta, which are still filled by Plt.
“Meanwhile, with the status of the Acting Officer, the official only has limited authority. Then how can it work optimally, how can it serve the citizens, complete the RPJMD and so on,” he said.
The politician who is often called Pras asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to review the implementation of the bureaucracy and regeneration that has taken place. He said these efforts were important and urgent to do for the sake of economic recovery and the welfare of the people in Jakarta, which was still hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Self-introspection is important. For a long time I have reminded the good ones to continue and continue to be better, don’t mess up the good ones,” he explained.
Previously, Anies was embarrassed because there were instructions for an open selection of positions for senior leaders in Pratama or Echelon II that were not carried out by 239 ASNs. Anies gathered his problematic subordinates in the City Hall field.
“We, me and you, in uniform, carry constitutional orders in a bureaucracy. Obedience to orders is important and if orders cannot be carried out, then reporting cannot be carried out, not silently hoping it will not be a problem. This is a problem for ladies and gentlemen. . And those collected here are problematic, “said Anies, Monday (10/5/2021).
Anies asked his staff to carry out all instructions properly. Anies has asked the DKI Inspectorate to list the names of ASNs who work without paying attention to instructions.
