Hundreds March in Tel Aviv After Israeli Armed Forces Mistakenly Kill 3 Hostages: Al Jazeera Cameraman Also Killed

Gaza City/Dubai: Widespread protests in Israel following the military spokesman’s announcement that three hostages were accidentally shot dead in Gaza. Thousands, including relatives and family members of the hostages, marched to the Ministry of Defence. Al Jazeera cameraman Samir Abu Daqa was killed in an Israeli attack.

An Israeli military spokesman revealed last night that three hostages were mistakenly mistaken for Hamas fighters in Gaza. Then the relatives and family members of the hostages protested in front of the defense ministry. Netanyahu asked that this is a great sadness for the country and that the army should not be blamed for the mistake. In order to cool down the protests, the army assured the relatives that the rest of the hostages will be released only through diplomatic moves. It is also reported that Israel has informed the intermediary countries including Qatar that it is ready to discuss the exchange of hostages.

The death of Al Jazeera cameraman Samir Abu Daqa in the Israeli attack in Gaza was another blow to Israel. Countries of the world, including the United States, strongly condemned the killing. Al Jazeera reporter Wail Al Dahdouh was also injured in the attack. The attack took place near a high school in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. The injured Samir Abu Dakha bled to death. Al-Qassam Brigade spokesman Abu Ubaidah informed that the resistance remains the strongest after 70 days of the war. In the last five days, more than 100 military vehicles were destroyed and many soldiers were injured. Al-Qassam Brigade also pointed out that Israel is hiding the actual number of soldiers killed.

Israel intensified preparations for war on the border with Lebanon. However, America asked Israel to withdraw from the war against Lebanon. Pentagon also criticized the action against the Lebanese soldiers. Meanwhile, the Biden administration reiterated its support for the war to oust Hamas. Jake Sullivan, who held talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, promised an end to Israeli settlers’ atrocities in the West Bank. The White House announced that the Palestinian Authority should be ready to take control of Gaza.
