Mats Hummels is still waiting for his debut with the Italian first division club AS Roma. The 2014 world champion also sat on the bench for 90 minutes in the Europa League duel against Dynamo Kiev (1-0) on Thursday night and has not yet spent a minute on the field in an AS jersey.
The 35-year-old was released on free transfer on September 4 Rom committed. His contract with Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund had previously expired.

I can only thank him for the way he behaves,” said the coach.
Hummels will not miss any training, “he is incredible” and “a great professional,” he stressed on Juric, who was replaced by his predecessor Daniele De Rossi as the main defender for Italy. “If he hasn’t played until now, it’s my decision. It’s certainly not his fault. He’ll have his chance soon,” said the Croatian coach.

Hummels recently caused a stir with a sarcastic Instagram post. A few days later he continued: “More Champions League Team awards than minutes played so far,” he wrote about a picture with a prize for the successful class season with Dortmund and he said: “I always take things like that with a sense of humor, so please explain it that way.
