Humberto López threatens those who participate in protests with the death penalty – 2024-04-28 05:49:34

The spokesman for the Castro regime, Humberto López, used his program ‘We Make Cuba’ to threaten the Cuban people about the consequences that may arise if there are massive protests against the communist government, among which are 30 years in prison, the network life and the death penalty.

During the program, broadcast this Thursday, April 25 in prime time on Cuban Television, the Island’s Penal Code contemplated these serious sentences for demonstrations that go against the Communist Party (PCC), self-titled by decree as a “superior force.” ” of society and the State on the Island.

Also on the program was Colonel of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) Hugo Morales Karell and Otto Molina Rodríguez, current president of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme People’s Court of Cuba, who only served to confirm the sentences that can be earned by those who carry out these massive demonstrations to “subvert order.”

This threat was directed at people who are charged with serious crimes such as sedition and other charges such as “terrorism”, however, this term is known to be subjective, since it depends on the criteria of the Castro authorities, who have arrived to label activists as terrorists who only dedicate themselves to criticizing the bad government of the regime.

In that sense, Morales Karell accused those Cubans who reside in the United States of being “terrorists” and “foster violence” by asking Cubans to take to the streets to demand a better quality of life and less repression.

Likewise, those who use social networks to “incite public agitation” were pointed out, once again making it clear that the Castro government fears what its citizens may publish on Facebook in the face of general discontent.

The statements made in the official program come just a few weeks before the third anniversary of the historic protests of July 11, 2021, when thousands of Cubans took to the streets tired of repression, food shortages, lack of of medicines and essential items in the country’s stores.

As a result, thousands of people were arrested after the demonstrations lost momentum.

These warnings are made because the Island is going through one of its worst economic crises, which has been generating discontent among citizens for several months.

The regime appears to be issuing these threats as an obvious warning against fear of a social explosion, a common tactic by the communist government, which uses fear as a tool to keep its population under control.
