JAKARTA, iNews.id – Humans over the past decades have explored Mars. Now, a new study suggests how humans could achieve life on the Red Planet.
In research published in Arxiv it says, unlike Mars, Earth has a strong magnetic field. Whereas one of the main requirements of terraforming is to have protection of the planet’s magnetic field which Mars currently does not have.
“This research includes design-defining issues, where to place magnetic field generators and possible construction strategies. The rationale here is not to justify the need for a planetary magnetosphere but to put the numbers on practicality so as to weigh the pros and cons of different engineering approaches,” the authors wrote. researcher.
Quoting the India Times page, Friday (11/26/2021), achieving terraforming will begin by first increasing atmospheric pressure above the Armstrong limit — the threshold that allows humans to survive without a pressure setting.
According to scientists, there are several ways that can be done to make it happen. From restarting and recirculating Mars’ iron core, to creating a continuous solid magnetic loop or using a source chain coupled with a controlled beam or plasma torus.
