According to him, a logistics center was set up on the basis of Metinvest in Poland to accumulate humanitarian aid from all over the world.
“Today we have already launched the second hub, the purpose of which is to supply food products to our distribution centers, which are currently located in four cities of Ukraine, so that Avdiivka, Pokrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kryvyi Rih, Kamensky receive help,” he said.
The existing hubs receive two types of assistance: from donors and partners, as well as assistance purchased with their own funds.
“Countries that have already provided assistance to Ukraine – Romania, the Baltic countries, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland. We showed the basic food set that was developed by WHO, it is understandable throughout Europe and the whole world, it is balanced: butter, sugar, cereals. Also countries transfer funds,” Vishnyakov added.
Vishnyakov also noted that the headquarters is waiting for the opening of green corridors in Mariupol for the prompt delivery of assistance to the city, which is experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe.
“We understand that we need a completely safe corridor so as not to endanger people’s lives. Therefore, we are waiting for the opening of a corridor that will allow the delivery of assistance. Drivers, food, vehicles – they are all ready to leave at any moment,” he stressed.
Recall that Metinvest and DTEK, which are part of the SCM group, in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and with the support of the state, created the Save Lives humanitarian headquarters, the purpose of which is to collect food for people most affected by the Russian invasion.
As reported, 117 tons of products have already been handed over to Ukrainians within a month.
