ROMA – Almost 130 million euros of assignments and emergency tenders, this is the growing budget of the disbursements of theItalian Agency for Cooperation (AICS) in 2023. From an analysis of the data – we read in Info-Cooperationthe portal for Italian humanitarian workers – it emerges that theAgency opened and concluded 42 tender procedures in 25 countries during the year 2023 for a total disbursement to selected civil society organizations of almost 130 million euros. 2023 was a year that saw a peak in humanitarian initiatives at an international level, also following the conflicts in Ukraine, Sudan and Palestine. Below is the list of procedures opened and completed in 2023:
125 contracts with as many CSOs. Following the tender procedures, 125 contracts were signed with the same number Civil Society Organizations (OSC) for projects carried out in partnership (also in the form of Health Protection Agencies (ATS) with numerous CSOs and/or other entities eligible under the International Cooperation reform law, n°125 of 2014.
