NASA’s Perseverance rover to Mars found garbage on the planet’s surface.
The Perseverance vehicle belonging to the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which was sent to the mysterious planet Mars, made a surprising discovery this time: human garbage.
The fact that the piece of thermal material, which is thought to be a piece of the vehicle, was found 2 kilometers away, brought along the comments that it was blown by the wind.
NASA’s Twitter account named ‘NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover’ shared about the garbage found on the surface of the planet.
“My team noticed something unexpected”
It has been shared that the material is pieces of thermal material wrapped on it to protect it from extreme weather changes during the landing of Perseverance on the Martian surface in 2021:
“My team noticed something unexpected: This is a piece of thermal blanket they think may have come from my 2021 landing day, a rocket-powered jetpack that knocked me down.”
How did the garbage get there?
The question of how the garbage got to the area where it was discovered, which is about two kilometers from the original place where the landing gear is located, awaits an answer.
