An employee at the second-hand store Goodwill in the city of Goodyear in Arizona got a bit of a shock when she checked the store’s donation container on Tuesday this week.
Someone had donated a real skull.
The police themselves have published the image of the skull, which appears to have an eye prosthesis fixed in the left eye socket.
– Very old
At the same time, they confirm that forensic experts have concluded that the skull is genuine. However, they do not believe that the skull is connected to a criminal act.
Risks a giga fine: – Madness
The skull was probably delivered to the store’s donation box last weekend.
– We spoke to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and they confirm that it is indeed a human skull, but at this point it appears that it is a historical find. This means that there is probably no criminal act connected to the skull, says Lisa Berry from the police.
A Goodwill manager @ the Sarival & Yuma location reported finding what appeared to be a human skull in a donation box. GYPD transported it to the OME for investigation. Their initial findings confirm it is human & appears to be historic. It doesn’t appear to be linked to a crime. pic.twitter.com/nhNw7D9FZA

Snake and handgun
In the donation box, along with the skull, several stuffed animals were found.
– I shop in this thrift store all the time, and I’ve never heard that something so crazy has been donated, says an anonymous customer to local KPHO-TV, reproduced by CBS News.
Complained of abdominal pain – made a shocking discovery
However, it is not the first time thrift stores in the states have received special donations. In 2021, a handgun was found in the donation box of a Goodwill store in North Carolina, while in 2018, someone donated a boa constrictor with albinism in Texas, according to the news site News.
