In Rotterdam South, human remains have been found under the debris of the apartment complex where there was an explosion on Monday. Whether these are remains of the man who is still missing must be determined by DNA research. The police are also continuing to search for more remains.

If it turns out that the missing man has indeed been found, this does not mean that the search will end, according to the police. The rest of the rubble will also be searched. The police receive help from the fire brigade, which facilitates with practical matters such as light.
In the meantime, possible clues to the cause of the explosion are also being examined. “That runs parallel to the search,” says a police spokesperson. The cause of the explosion is not yet clear.
