Purísima del Rincón, Guanajuato, September 20, 2023.– The Guanajuato Health System carries out the application of the Human Papillomavirus vaccine to schoolgirls in the Rincón area.
Health personnel from Sanitary Jurisdiction VIII visit primary and secondary schools in the 5 municipalities of the Sanitary Jurisdiction, which are Silao, Romita, Manuel Doblado, San Francisco del Rincón and Purísima del Rincón.
The Health System reports that in these municipalities 4,800 doses have been applied to girls in the 5th and 6th grade of primary school or girls aged 11 and 12, adolescents in the 1st to 3rd year of secondary school or adolescents aged 13 to 15.
The doses correspond to the municipality of Manuel Doblado with 200 doses, Purísima with 700 doses, Romita 500 doses, San Francisco 600 doses, Silao with 2,800 doses.
It should be noted that the campaign will be valid from September 11 to November 15, starting with the application of a single dose of the HPV vaccine.
With this activity, it is possible to greatly reduce mortality cases in women, for this reason mothers, fathers or caregivers were called upon to take their daughters to receive the vaccine.
The units where they are being applied will be: CAISES Silao from Monday to Sunday with hours from 9 am to 7 pm, CAISES San Francisco from Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm, CAISES Romita from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, CAISES Purísima from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, CAISES Manuel Doblado from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm and all UMAPS rural units from 8 am to 3 pm.
