The Coast Guard reports this. The latest search is in progress at the beach ‘De Zandmotor’. Multiple lifeboats and helicopters have been deployed.
The missing swimmer got into trouble with two others. After a passerby had raised the alarm, two people could be taken out of the water. The third is still missing.
The Sand Motor is a large artificial sandbank off the coast of South Holland, which was constructed by Rijkswaterstaat to eventually make the beach wider and promote dune growth.

Katwijk quest
In Katwijk it was previously reported that a man would have got into a mouse. Another swimmer had raised the alarm about that.
Numerous boats, also from the KNRM rescue service, pulled out. Watercraft from the Reddingsbrigade Nederland were also in the water and vehicles on land searched along. A helicopter was in the air. The Coast Guard Center in Den Helder coordinated the search.
The search was ended around 7:30 PM. “No one was found. On the beach, a man reported that a swimmer seemed to be in trouble for him in the water. When he was back on the beach he saw the man no longer and raised the alarm. No one has been reported missing, including the police. So there is further unknown who might be searched, ”the Coast Guard said in a statement.

Warning: beware of mice, strong current
The Rescue Brigade issued a warning for mice on Thursday, because the danger is great these days, partly due to ‘sand replenishment’. Two 12-year-old boys were saved on Wednesday. Then the rescuers just happened to have an exercise.
