Human Bones Found at Company in Lelystad: Police Investigation Underway

The bones that were found underground last week at a company on the Zilverstraat in Lelystad are human. That will let the police know. Much more about the find is not yet clear, the police still have many questions. Police and NFI employees are continuing their investigation.

The bones were found on the premises of Be Pall, a producer of wooden pallets. On Wednesday there was excavation work there. Then a tarpaulin containing several bones was found under the ground. Police have cordoned off the area and have been investigating for days. The fire brigade was also present with a material truck during the weekend.

Now the police can report the first results: it turns out to be human bones. “In collaboration with NFI, among others, further research is being done into the origin, location and the bones themselves,” writes a spokesperson. She can’t give more information yet. According to the police, it is difficult to estimate at this stage of the investigation when more will be known.
