Human bodies keep popping up in Lake Mead, why?

KOMPAS.com – Human remains are reported to keep popping up in Lake Mead, Nevada, United States of America.

Some time ago, on July 25 to be exact, the third human body was found in Lake the largest in the United States. At that time the water level had receded to an historical low.

Previously, in May a witness had found the remains of a decades-old body. It seemed that the body had been shot and then put into a barrel in the lake.

Then a week later, two sisters who were pedaling a boat on the lake also found a human skeleton.

Then actually, what is the cause of all the appearance of these corpses?

As human-caused climate change warms the planet and causes drought, the remains of bodies from the past will likely continue to emerge.

The lowering of the water level was also finally able to help reveal cases of death hidden under the surface of the water for years.

“I hope that the human remains of the missing people will be revealed over time as the water level continues to recede,” Jennifer Byrnes, a forensic anthropologist, told Insider.

“For us, it has the potential to find missing people. It will only reveal more things in the water that you normally don’t know about,” said Eric Bartelink, a forensic anthropologist at Chico Human Identification Lab California State University.
