Nico Hulkenberg will get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo in the ADAC GT Masters next month in Germany. The 177-time Grand Prix driver and single Le Mans winner will be on display at the Nürburgring over the weekend of August 14-16.
Hulkenberg follows in the footsteps of other former Formula 1 drivers who also compete in the German GT3 class. Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Karl Wendingler, Jan Lammers, Mika Salo and Jaime Algersuari preceded him.
The German is only too happy to get back to work. “The ADAC GT Masters is an exciting class with cool cars. After a break of almost eight months, I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and feeling the adrenaline. Especially now that the Formula 1 season has started again it starts to tickle me, “said the former F1 driver, who emphasizes that his trip to the GT class is only one time.
Hulkenberg is still diligently looking for a Formula 1 seat before 2021, although his chances seem very small.
