A number of days after the NBA draft, German basketball participant Ariel Hukporti signed with the New York Knicks. The 22-year-old participant obtained a two-way contract, which means he can play for an NBA franchise or within the G League for the Westchester Knicks farm workforce.
The middle, born in Stralsund, was drafted within the final place (place 58) by the Dallas Mavericks on the finish of June and was instantly given to the Knicks. Final season, Hukporti, who was underneath contract with Bundesliga membership MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg from 2016 to 2020 and returned to the membership this spring, performed in Australia for Melbourne United. Hukporti was the primary participant of Togolese descent to be drafted within the NBA.
