Dengue is still gaining ground in the country. In the latest report from the National Institute of Health, on April 6, the country already has 94,558 cases of this disease. One of the most affected regions in Huila.
“In epidemiological week 14 of 2024, 9,172 possible dengue cases were reported: 6,203 cases from this week and 2,969 cases from previous weeks. According to the collected data, 94,558 cases were recorded, 56,795 (60.1%) without warning signs, 36,879 (39.0%) with warning signs and 884 (0.9%) of severe dengue.says the INS statement.
“78.0% (73,722) of the cases nationwide come from Valle del Cauca, Cali, Huila, Tolima, Santander, Norte de Santander, Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Cauca,” adds the statement from the National Institute of Health.
Valle del Cauca is the region with the most cases in the country, with a total of 20,491, followed by Antioquia with 12,685 and in third place is Huila with 9,860.
