Huíla prepares for the public sale of houses in the centrality of Quilemba – Jornal OPaís

The public sale of houses built in the centrality of Quilemba, city of Lubango, capital of the province of Huíla, could start within a few days, with a total of 700 houses made available to interested parties, according to the provincial governor, Nuno Mahapi

The province’s top official issued an order creating a Provincial Commission for Monitoring the Housing Lottery Process in the centrality of Quilemba, coordinated by the delegate for Justice and Human Rights, Cláudia de Sousa. The commission is made up of 14 members representing various social strata, including religious leaders, non-governmental and business organizations, as well as the National Police.

In order to have access to the draw for homes in the centrality of Quilemba, a main and indispensable requirement is Angolan nationality, being of legal age, and having an income capable of supporting the expenses of purchasing the house. After being admitted to the draw, candidates are eligible to pay for the residence in full or through a monthly discount, taking into account the income of each person interested in purchasing a residence.

On the occasion of the first meeting of the same commission, the provincial governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, said that it is autonomous and will work without any interference in order to guarantee the smoothness of the process as possible.

“We are aware that applications will be high, but we also trust in your leadership capacity, so we think you will be able to indicate the places where the candidate registration process will take place, so that, at least this year , we have the 700 homes that are part of the 10 percent quota of houses built in centralities, for free sale to the public”, he highlighted
