Hugo de Jonge becomes acting King’s Commissioner in Zeeland

Hugo de Jonge was appointed acting King’s Commissioner in Zeeland. The former minister and the province reported this X. He has to temporarily take over from Han Polman, who leaves for the State Council next month.

Until a new King’s Commissioner is found, De Jonge will take over the duties. The former minister, who was born and raised in Zeeland, says that the proposed role is an honor.

“It’s wonderful to be able to work together in that beautiful province where I was born and raised. I will work with my heart and soul for Zeeland and the people of Zeeland,” said De Jonge.

The news was announced tonight at a closed meeting in the regional government building in Middelburg, wrote Broadcasting Zeeland. De Jonge will start on September 16.
