“What a piece of shit”, “If you don’t want to be there, go home!” and “the most dismissive interview I’ve seen”.
It is among the many comments on Twitter after last night’s Oscars where actor Hugh Grant allowed himself to be interviewed on the red carpet.
The actor is known from, among other things, the films “Notting Hill” and “Love Actually”.
The interview referred to was done by model Ashley Graham for the ABC channel ahead of the awards.
The interview no longer lasts a minute and a half, but it will prove difficult for the model to get anything out of the actor.
She starts off by calling Grant an Oscar veteran – before asking him what it’s like to be back at the awards.
– Well… it’s fascinating, all of humanity is here. Pretentious, he says.
Graham answers him appreciatively before asking what he is most looking forward to seeing during the evening. He replies questioningly back, and she elaborates:
– You have certainly seen some of the films. Can’t wait to see someone win? Do you have any
– No one in particular, replies Grant.
Now Graham is trying to turn to something else. She asks Grant what he’s wearing.
– Just my suit, he replies.
– Your suit! Who made it, it wasn’t you?
– I don’t remember my tailor.
Now Graham moves on to the last question before she rounds off. She says that she loved the film «Glass Onion – A Knives Out Mystery» where Grant plays.
– How much fun is it to make a film like that? she wonders.
– I’m barely there. I’m only around for like three seconds, Grant replies back.
Graham has not commented on the interview herself, but also on her Instagram account this is the big theme under the last photo she has published – a photo of herself from the award.
Many believe she was professional and raw, who kept a cool head during the interview. But some also think she asked stupid questions:
– Who asks an actor if it was fun to record a film in which he was in for around three seconds? writes a follower to her.
No Norwegian Oscar winner
The film that was named best film during the night’s Oscars was “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, which won a total of seven awards.
Unfortunately, there was no Norwegian Oscar this year for the short film “Nattrikken”.
