WIESBADEN – Lidl opens in Wiesbaden: For the third quarter of 2021, the food retailer will be moving to Wiesbaden’s pedestrian zone, Kirchgasse 17. Overall, the area there will be around 2,000 square meters, the landlord of the property is Deka Immobilien, according to a message from Savills, one of the “leading global real estate service companies” according to its own statements. What is not in the message: The bookseller Hugendubel currently resides at this address. He has already rented around 1200 square meters in Kirchgasse 47 in order to open a new branch there at the end of the year.
Daniel Kroppmans of Savills is quoted as saying about the new Lidl branch: “We are pleased that we were able to find a suitable company for the property and that we were able to provide the grocery retailer with suitable sales space in an excellent location. Kirchgasse is the most important shopping street in Wiesbaden. ” Lidl has a total of seven locations in Wiesbaden.
