Lightning Rod Accident: Small child is barely spared
A small child in the Chinese city of Yuncheng is lucky in misfortune. There, a lightning conductor falls from the roof of a house and lands on a car that is in a parking lot at the moment of the accident – with all the occupants.
But miraculously, everyone in the car escaped unharmed. Although the lightning rod strikes only centimeters from the toddler, who is unsuspectingly sitting in the back seat.
Video shows the lightning rod crashing into the car
A video shows the shocking moment of shock. You can see how the huge lightning rod completely smashes the car roof. The size of the lightning rod and the speed of its impact suggest that the object came from a taller building.
How the incident could have happened remains the subject of further investigations. However, according to initial findings, a strong wind was probably responsible for the accident.
At the end of the video you can still see how the surrounding people are helpful and immediately go to the car. Fortunately, an intervention, let alone a rescue operation, is not necessary.
Just a few days ago, a little girl in China was similarly lucky – she was hanging on the outside of the house next to the window and was rescued in time before the situation became even more dramatic.
