A powerful explosion is strongly suspected to have come from the onslaught Russia rocked the south of the capital again Kiev Ukraine on Wednesday (2/3) night.
The adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Anton Herashchenko, said the massive explosion was heard near a train station in the center of the capital.
An eye witness Reuters in Kiev reported hearing the explosion. He admitted that the big explosion made the ground shake.
Herashchenko fears that the Russian airstrike will cut off the supply of central heating to some areas of Kiev in the middle of the ongoing winter.
Meanwhile, the state-owned railway company Ukrzaliznytsya confirmed the Russian air strike took place near one of its stations south of Kiev.
The station was the place where thousands of residents including women and children were evacuated.
Ukrzaliznytsya reported that the station building suffered minor damage. However, the company has not been able to confirm whether there were victims of the Russian attack.
Ukrzaliznytsya added that despite the Russian onslaught, the train station was still operating.
