- The price on the Czech market is set at 7,490 crowns
The Amazfit brand brought the third generation of its T-Rex outdoor watch to the Berlin IFA fair with several interesting intergenerational improvements. Again, this is a robust piece of technology that will take care of your health functions, sports activity or sleep quality and will also please you with a long endurance attacking almost the whole month.
Amazfit T-Rex 3: an octagonal case with a larger display
The new watch from Amazfit again attracts with an aggressive design, but there have been several changes compared to the previous generation. The intergenerational display has grown to 1.5″, it is an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. The panel is protected both by more durable Gorilla Glass and also by a protruding octagonal-shaped bezel.
For a more outdoor “feeling”, the manufacturer placed several screw heads directly in the bezel, but this is probably only an aesthetic function. By disassembling it, you could deprive yourself of the guaranteed water resistance of 10 ATM (45M), promising trouble-free swimming and recreational diving. The watch can also be controlled underwater, thanks to the four rough buttons around the perimeter of the case, but of course it is also possible to use the touchscreen.
New system with AI assistant
Amazfit T-Rex 3 is powered by the brand new Zepp OS 4 platform with a number of new features. Offline map data (terrain, winter or contour) can now be downloaded directly to the watch, which can then be used for navigation or to record the route in real time – this is helped by the integrated dual GPS. The possibility to record music to the watch for listening via wireless headphones is also new. The internal 32GB memory is used for storing maps and music. The environment also includes an AI assistant powered by Chat GPT-4o technology from OpenAI.

The watch can record more than 170 sports activities and also monitor the user’s health – for these purposes, it has a new PPG sensor recording heart rate, stress or blood oxygenation, in addition, there is an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer and thermometer monitoring both skin temperature and water temperature. NFC supporting mobile payments is also pleasing, this time not only in China, but also in Europe through the Zepp Pay service. It currently supports only Curve cards, or MasterCard from mBank. In the future, however, the support should be extended to other banks as well. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity is also available.
Amazfit T-Rex 3 has also improved in endurance – the manufacturer has “inflated” the battery capacity to 700 mAh, thereby increasing endurance to 27 days of typical use, or 180 hours with continuous use of GPS. A proprietary magnetic system takes care of charging, and it takes 3 hours to fully charge. Due to the larger battery, the watch has become heavier by two grams between generations – including the silicone strap, it weighs 68.3 grams. Thanks to the classic fastening with a 22 mm axis, it is possible to replace the strap with another one.
