It has been extremely busy at the Dutch airport since this morning. The cause of the crowds is, among other things, a “wild strike” at KLM. There, the ground staff unexpectedly stopped working this morning out of dissatisfaction with the working conditions. As a result, no baggage was loaded or unloaded on aircraft of KLM and some other airlines.
The strikers have now resumed work, but disturbances are expected throughout the day. Dozens of flights have already been canceled or severely delayed. There are also long lines in the departure hall. Precisely today the May holiday starts in the Netherlands. About 200,000 travelers were expected at the airport.
