Huey is dead
Huey, or Lawrence Franks, died on Friday, June 26. That day, around 22.55, he was hospitalized with at least one gunshot wound. Unfortunately, despite the help given to him, he died. He was only 32 years old.
Rapper’s first manager, Enrico Washington, described Huey in a short statement:
“He just enjoyed life,” he said. “We’re talking about a young man who still had a lot of life ahead of him,” he added.
Huey – who was he and how do we know him?
Huey was born on January 1, 1989 in Kinloch, Missouri, USA. The artist was best known for the single “Pop, Lock & Drop It”, which appeared in 2006 and stayed in the best hundred of Billboard magazine for 23 weeks. It was the number promoting the first rap album – “Notebook Paper”. His second album, “When I Hustle”, was released in 2010. Despite not very extensive discography, Huey was known in the rap environment.
The police are constantly investigating the case, but they do not provide details of the proceedings. No one has been arrested yet.
