Huch sues against social giants: Facebook wants to delete human rights activists | Regional

Bremen – Once again, the “Facebook” courts are busy because it rigorously deletes posts. FB user Tobias Huch (39) defends himself against this and took action against “Facebook Ireland Limited” before the regional court on Thursday.

Huch is a recognized human rights activist, journalist and book author. He clarifies the dangers of IS and volunteers in humanitarian aid for Kurdish refugees.

But of all people, Facebook accuses this human rights activist of supporting ISIS on their Instagram service: They deleted four posts with photos showing armed men, among other things. Huch documented his work as a war correspondent, Facebook threatened to block the Instagram account! Reason: “Your contribution violated our community standards.”

Huch: “It’s unbelievable that you claim I would support the IS.” The judge: “The photos are at least ambiguous. Political insiders recognize what you want to show. Others see the presence as just a terrorist group. Armed men cheering. At first glance you don’t see what is meant. “

He wants to enforce stricter rules for Facebook and requested an injunction. His demand: the photos should be shown again and renewed deletion prohibited.
