Hublot unveils its new Sang Bleu Spirit of Big Bang creations in collaboration with Maxime Plescia-Buchi

The watchmaker Hublot reveals its latest creations from the Sang Bleu Spirit of Big Bang collection, the fruit of its collaboration with the famous tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi.

Since 2016, Hublot has been collaborating with this Swiss tattoo artist to merge the arts and bring together seemingly opposing worlds. This collaboration gave birth to the Sang Bleu collection. On the occasion of Watches & Wonders 2024, the Swiss brand presented two new versions of the Spirit of Big Bang.

Two new complementary variants of the Spirit of Big Bang

For nearly eight years, Hublot has partnered with Maxime Plescia-Buchi for its timepieces. This collaboration is visible through the designer’s distinctive tattoo style, characterized by stretched, incised or angular lines, creating unique reliefs and textures.

This year, the collection Spirit of Big Bang is enriched with two new models designed by the tattoo artist: the Ceramic Blue and King Gold versions. Like their predecessors, these new watches have a barrel-shaped case measuring 42 mm in diameter and 15.7 mm thick, with a faceted sapphire crystal that follows the angular lines of the case.

Both versions feature signed winding crowns, flanked by angular chronograph pushers on the side of the case. Like previous variations, these watches retain the avant-garde geometric hand style. They feature a skeleton display, two chronograph counters, a blue-colored track, and a subtly integrated date window at 4:30.

Powered by the Hublot Calibre HUB4700 automatic chronograph movement, these pieces operate at a frequency of 36,000 vph (5 Hz) with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours and offer water resistance of 100 meters for everyday use.
