Hubble Telescope Releases Photo of Glittered Galaxy Squeezed

“ESO 318-13 is sandwiched between a large collection of bright celestial bodies,” the official wrote NASA in the image description June 15, quoted from SpaceAhad (26/6/2022).

“Some stars near and far are dazzling compared to the neat dust contained within the galaxy.”

Here ESO 318-13 is seen positioned among an impressive scattering of ultra-bright celestial bodies. The many neighboring stars that shine both near and far catch our eye when compared to the Glitter Galaxy’s immediate family.

“One of the most prominent is located near the center of the image, and looks like a very bright star located within the galaxy. However, this is just a perspective gimmick,” NASA wrote.

“The star is located in the Milky Way, our own galaxy, and shines so brightly because it is much closer to us than ESO 318-13.”

The multicolored glowing discs that adorn the rest of the frame are galaxies spinning farther away. Targeting the upper right corner, a striking elliptical galaxy can be clearly observed which is much more massive than ESO 318-13 but at a much greater distance.

In the case of overlapping galaxies, we can see a long-range spiral galaxy trying to be noticed through the nearly dust-free expanse of ESO 318-13 at the far right of this sweeping fake color photo.
