Techbiz.id – Huawei is rumored to be releasing the next generation of foldable phones. If you previously had Mate X2 which brought a folding design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, this time it will resemble the Z Flip3’s clamshell.
However, Huawei is reportedly going to refine the folding design to be simpler but bring performance improvements to be more powerful.
Reported from GSMarena (1/12/2021), Huawei will use the latest generation hinge from Zhaoli Technology which is in development for some time now.
The company said Huawei will use this new hinge and it seems Huawei is the only brand that makes sense for this development. The new hinge is said to be less complicated when compared to the ones already used by Huawei.
But the hinge in question will reportedly be more reliable than the one used on the last model. In addition, the parts are also less, so in terms of price it is also claimed to be cheaper.

Some rumors suggest that the upcoming clamshell foldable phone may be named Huawei Mate V, but this name is still uncertain. Furthermore, it is estimated that the phone will launch soon and may be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset.
Unfortunately, there is no concrete information regarding the specifications of Huawei’s folding phone, but it is estimated that it will still support 4G networks, due to US sanctions against the company.
