where do you get that 1 percent efficiency from? furthermore, you assume that everyone generates money in a company. you also have your “unrendable” departments such as administration / facilities etc. that do not make production.

an imac screen 5k is really not going to give efficiency gains. Instruct or teach staff how to handle PCs properly. Enough managers who cost 1000 euros a day but still tap with 2 fingers. you can throw hardware against this, but that makes no sense. they will not type faster from a better screen / keyboard.

I only work for a simple construction company. costs around 100 euros per hour for a customer. these 100 euros per hour include more than just my costs. the downside of a “productive” function

– building costs
– days off
– supply not productive
– operating result
– investments
– insurances
– administrate
etc etc etc.

to give everyone a screen of 500 euros while there are just people who can work with an FHD is capital destruction.

the function, the software, etc., with which departments work must be carefully considered. and the hardware needs to be adjusted accordingly.

unfortunately we work with flex desks, so everyone has a laptop. a buyer who is more on the phone and making contracts in word receives a laptop of 800 euros + accessories.

I do work preparation work with heavy models etc. and get a workstation laptop

what I do think should be in a screen by default:
– verstelbaarheid
– good colors
– blue light filters / or the like
– USB hub so you only have to plug 1 cable into your laptop.

but to get back to the original part. the resolution Fhd is largely sufficient.
