Huawei brand fans continue to benefit from the Huawei P50 lineup. These smartphones continue to unfold in reality. Just a few weeks before the manufacturer unveils its masterpiece, a leak from China clearly attests to the arrival of a new SoC. This is the Kirin 9000L. This chipset is engraved by Samsung in 5nm. It succeeds the robust Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E.
Nice performance from Huawei
Huawei lifted a corner last year on the Kirin 9000. It is an ARM chipset which is engraved by TSMC in 5nm. The Chinese group used the chip on the Mate 40 range. It took some time for the manufacturer to launch the Kirin 9000E. This version of SoC is boosted for artificial intelligence via a powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Huawei is now preparing to market a third version of the Kirin 9000. The Kirin 9000L in question is ultra powerful. This component will perform well given the huge NPU. The latter is similar to the Kirin 9000E.
A clear advance by Samsung despite the sanctions
The Samsung brand is said to be making arrangements to produce Soc Kirin 9000l for huawei notwithstanding the sanctions. The Kirin 9000L switches to a frequency of around 2.86Ghz. It also embeds a Mali-G78 ARM GPU. Said chipset would mainly be engraved by Samsung factories. Huawei is deprived of TSMC as well as several traditional suppliers. Sanctions have been imposed since September 2021. Huawei has therefore decided to turn to the South Korean manufacturer. It should be noted that the Samsung brand is subject to US sanctions. Huawei is not allowed to do business with its Chinese rival. One wonders if Samsung had obtained a special exemption from the United States government.
