Huawei CEO Richard Yu said the phone will usher in a new era of mobile. However, Yu did not reveal the details of the specifications for his latest P50 Smartphone.
Even so, it is certain that the phone will run HarmonyOS which is the latest operating system Huawei for its future smartphone line.
Reported Lifewire, Wednesday (21/7/2021), a report from China stated that Huawei was forced to use the 4G variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip processor. Because the Kirin 9000 processor they developed lacked a chip, they switched to Qualcomm.
The shortage of the Kirin 9000 chip can be attributed to US sanctions. The country fears Huawei will spy on Americans through their technology.

Although Huawei Already denying the allegations, the US government continues to bar domestic companies from selling their technology to Huawei without approval. The sanctions impacted Kirin chip production and reduced the company’s market share.
Detailed specifications are expected to be released soon ahead of its launch. There have been no official reports on the upgraded P50 model or when Huawei’s new product will use the Kirin 9000 processor.
