Huawei Welcomes Côte d’Ivoire’s Dynamism in Digital Ecosystem and Discusses 2022 Report

The vice-president in charge of public relations of Huawei (Chinese technology operator) for the North Africa region, Hadnane Ben Halima, welcomed on Friday March 31, 2023, the dynamism of the digital ecosystem in Côte d’Ivoire.

This region brings together, according to this company, 29 African countries including Côte d’Ivoire.

Mr. Hadnane was speaking, by videoconference, during a press conference presenting the annual report of activities of the company Huawei in 2022.

”I would like to congratulate the Ivorian digital ecosystem for its dynamism in recent years. Above all, after Covid-19, we really see a lot of initiatives and Côte d’Ivoire is playing a regional role in the development of certain technologies,” said Mr. Hadnane.

He also said that Côte d’Ivoire is one of the first candidates to launch 5G in the region.

“Côte d’Ivoire plays a very important role in the region and we are delighted to support it so that the economy can benefit even more from digital technology,” added the speaker.

Earlier disclosing his company’s 2022 annual report, Hadnane, among other things, said that the company’s overall revenue stands at $92.37 billion. In addition, he clarified that the net profit of the company amounts to 5 billion Dollars. As for the overall receipts, he said that they are close to

$43.8 billion.

”All these figures reflect the stability of the company. Our business is stable with a slight increase overall”, was satisfied Mr. Hadnane.

In the aftermath, the speaker revealed that 6G technology will be launched in 2030.

Huawei is an international provider of connected information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and devices.
