Huawei Tunisia organizes the regional competition 2021/2022 Huawei ICT Competition

Huawei Northern Africa organized the seventh edition of the “Huawei ICT Competition” in its regional phase on April 25 and 26, 2022.

Tunisia was represented in two categories: the specialty Network where the lucky winners of the national final having reached the regional phase were respectively Mohamed Aziz Bourguiba and Khalil Nacef, from TEK-UP University, and Oussema Ghorbel, from INSAT university. For the second specialty, namely the Cloud, Kana Serge, Mahdi Bouden, from TEK-UP University, and Ameni Abida from ENET’COM University defended the Tunisian chances.

The dream goal is to reach the world final of the competition. For this, the Tunisians had to showcase their talents against their African counterparts (Algeria, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Benin, Egypt, etc.). The competition was held online at Huawei headquarters in each country.

But what is the Huawei ICT Competition?

Huawei ICT Competition is an event created by Huawei to promote the exchange between ICT talents, this competition promotes the healthy development of the ICT ecosystem.

Launched in 2015, Huawei ICT Competition has become one of the benchmark events and one of the largest competitions in the ICT sector, with more than 2,000 higher education institutions representing more than 70 countries.

It aims to help universities train young talents in ICT and accelerate the development of this industry in Africa. This is how Huawei actively contributes to the continent’s economic growth.

In Tunisia, the participants are members of the various Huawei ICT Academy, currently 65 partnerships developed with universities, engineering schools, and higher institutes, since the end of 2018.

Huawei invests in young Tunisian ICT skills

This competition reflects the company’s interest in developing the skills of young people in ICT. Huawei ICT Competition is a way to share cutting-edge technologies and knowledge to meet the urgent needs of digital transformation.

These two days of competition and learning were a memorable experience of exchange between the teams from a technical but also human point of view.
